When you see housing listings that have too good to be true low month rent, waiting periods and asking for personal information that seems more than the CIA would ask...it's a SCAM. These waiting periods are a way rental agency's collect non-refundable processing fees from us and after a certain time, say a month or two, they pick someone and it's not you. They lure renters in with a low monthly rental and charge non-refundable service fees. Then they sit back and wait for applicants to apply and the money rolls in.
